The TeraFlex NP231 Short Shaft Kit increases the rear driveshaft length by 4” eliminating the need for a Transfer Case Lowering Kit in most cases. This kit helps make the driveshaft angle better to help eliminate angle and vibration issues. Also includes a larger/stronger output shaft, bearing and rear housing. (Will need a 1310 cv driveshaft in order for this kit to work — also sold as a Package that saves money if you don't already have a 1310 cv driveshaft.)
Fits: TJ Wrangler (short wheelbase), LJ Wrangler Unlimited (long wheelbase), YJ Wrangler, XJ Cherokee.
Note: If the XJ Cherokee has a Vacuum Disconnect then this is not the right kit.
Includes: Output housing; Transfer case rear output shaft; Output Housing Seal (#231104); Output housing bearing; Rear Output Yoke (#3244404); Output Yoke Flanged Nut (#231112); all necessary hardware.
This kit must be used w/ a CV style (double cardan) driveshaft.
